Dr. Barbara Entsuah is a US Board Certified Family Physician and Fellow of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeon specializing in Family Medicine. She obtained her medical degree at the University of Ghana Medical School in Accra, Ghana West Africa. She has practiced medicine in Ghana, Liberia, Canada, and in the United States. She presently lives in Florida, where she has practiced medicine in the city of Clermont for the last 15 years.
She loves Women’s Health and Preventive Medicine and always encourages her patients to incorporate life style changes in their health management. She is a Christian who loves to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior, and to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Since 2000, she and her husband Jojo, have been leading short term Mission teams to Ghana to do free medical clinics, and present education empowerment, and sexual education for young people. Other areas include health education and work among women groups and churches. She and her husband in collaboration with her church Faith Point in Clermont, Florida and others have built and continue to manage an elementary school in the village of Boate in the Eastern Region of Ghana, West Africa which currently has a student population of 145 and is up to Class (Grade) 7.
She is passionate about teaching children and young people to be safe at home, school and in the neighborhood. This has led her to author three books for students and parents on sexual abuse prevention. In Florida, she has organized health fairs and assisted other organizations reach out to the community. She is the Vice President of Gateway of Hope, Inc. a non-profit organization she co-founded with her husband to serve people in Florida, Ghana and beyond. She is active in her church and is involved with the Prayer, Missions and Hospitality Ministries. She is married with three adult children, Akua, Afua and Ebo.
